What you will learn:

This course supports ethical decision-making aligned with industry standards while fostering greater awareness of the emotional, psychological, and relational aspects of touch.

Participants will examine scope of practice, power dynamics, consent, and communication, with special emphasis on the ethical use of touch. Through discussion, case studies, and reflective exercises, students will gain practical tools to navigate complex interpersonal situations, maintain professionalism, and cultivate trust and safety in all client interactions.

Your instructor: Mary Onna Bode is a graduate of the Florida School of Massage and has been practicing for 40 years. She is well-connected in the healing field and is a breath and qi gong coach, visceral worker, and reiki master. She is an instructor and clinical supervisor at Center for Massage & Natural Health and finds great pleasure in being part of the students' growth into professional bodyworkers.
