Description of Course
This course explores the relationship between the emotional body and the physical body as it applies to massage therapy practice. Students will learn how emotions are held, expressed, and released through the body, while remaining firmly within massage therapy scope of practice. Emphasis is placed on somatic awareness, trauma-informed touch, ethical boundaries, practitioner self-regulation, and client communication.

Mary Onna is a transformational healer of body, mind and soul.
She has been a somatic emotional release therapist for over 35 years.
Initiating her training in massage school over 40 years ago at the Florida School of Natural Health under Lee Joseph, a psychotherapist and the school director -owner. Mary Onna began her own group body awareness sessions and positional release therapy.
Achieved advanced somatic emotional release training with Upledger institute.
Certified clinical Hypnotist through heart centered hypnotherapy.
Certified Breath Therapist through Integral Breath therapy led by Carol Lampman.
Mary Onna having the privilege over the years to work directly with several psychotherapist co-treating clients and patient’s.
She is a true channel of love, joy and healing. Mary Onna brings to all who are involved within her presence, the essence of play and the wisdom of her years in the healing community.
