It was a pleasure meeting you on Friday, and I wanted to send a great big heartfelt thank you to you and all of the incredibly compassionate staff members and health practitioners who helped me with my stay this last weekend.  George, Sean, and Tony were all so welcoming, and my guided meditation session with Baptiste was a wonderful and life changing experience.  Therese is an amazing skin care professional, Caroline gave a great and soothing deep tissue massage, and my acupuncture session with Janet was extremely beneficial.

Your facility is beautiful and extremely comfortable, the food was wonderful and I look forward to returning soon.

As the sun sets on my last evening here at The Center I am filled with a renewed sense of purpose...Body, Mind & Spirit...The universe has a way of putting me in the right place at the right time, and this is one of those times. When I connect the dots I clearly see that being here was divine intervention. Thank God! It is so sacred here. I see it, feel it, hear it. Know in the center of my soul that the time I spent here, the moments of solitude, the healing massages, acupuncture and juices, the mountains, sauna and hot tub and, of course, the beautiful circle of people who work here all played their sacred parts in awakening me to a place within that I have not embraced or really taken time to love in a long, long time. My goal in coming to the Center was primarily to improve my spirituality. In and of itself, that alone would have been satisfactory.

In fact, my eyes were opened to much more. The holistic approach offered by ERC has provided me with an entirely new awareness and a fundamental change in how I will approach recovery.

Equal emphasis is placed on the mind, body and spiritual needs I have. I believe it is impossible to spend time at ERC and not experience growth and have an understanding of the balance necessary in all three areas.

The staff members are both compassionate and professional. I have witnessed their attention to detail, and the accommodating manner for clients individual needs.

I leave here with the confidence that my recovery has a myriad of tools available. I intend to return regularly for a "centering".

This week of juice fasting has been incredible! I arrived here with painful, arthritic knees. I am no longer taking Advil, and I can feel my knees and legs getting stronger and healthier every day. Walking is becoming more comfortable, which I am so grateful for.

This beautiful, tranquil environment has been soothing and restful. I have been taking the time to relax and to read books on healing. I am using affirmations for health every day now and what a difference I am experiencing!

Your center gave me the start to a new, life-long journey of health recovery.  I was able to experience a taste of what life could be like unbound and free of the addiction chains I was in. 

The added bonus was the peace and tranquility of the geography--surrounded by the beauty of NC mountains, grounds (property) on which Essence is located, the horses, etc.--all of it so beautiful! 

The program at Essence and the support of everyone involved in making my stay a success was simply awesome.  I was finally able to quiet my life and mind enough to rediscover who I am.

Dear Future Client:

I am writing this testimonial in hopes that it will help you make one of the most important decisions of your life: To become free from addictions.

I arrived at the Center June 2006 and completed their 28-Day program.  It happened to be their first client since they became a recovery center.  I arrived a beat down and broken man from cocaine addiction that spanned for three years or more.  My life was just about gone, physically, mentally and emotionally.  Seeking treatment was a do or die situation for me.  I talked to many different treatment centers.  All had waiting lists, some as long as the excuses for not being able to get me in in a timely manner.  ERC was the last place on my list. 

I called expecting the same run around, but when Martha got on the phone, I knew it was going to be okay.  They were able to admit me within 24 hours.  I’ll never forget Martha.  She said “William, just get here and let us take care of you”.  And that is just what the team at the Center did. 

I am now back at home, and running my company and my life again.  Thank you all.  I will never forget you.

Dear Peggy,

My friend and I just returned home from a six day stay at your beautiful retreat center. Our entire experience far exceeded our expectations.

I am writing, primarily, to compliment your fabulous staff. Rebecca, Olivia, Heidi, Bobby, Caroline (as our massage therapist), and our Chef (Samena?...who introduced herself, but I’m afraid I may not have gotten her name correctly) were superb hosts in every way possible.

Heidi was an excellent yoga teacher…she gently and compassionately guided us through every stretch. Her caring attitude shined through.

Rebecca felt ever present and provided us with abundant answers to all of our questions. Olivia was also extremely helpful in pointing out great restaurants and gave us fabulous directions for each and every turn. Bobby went above and beyond the call of duty and was a delight to meet. Polly was a new addition during our stay and was also a delight. Caroline is an excellent massage therapist-a great testament to your massage program!

Further…the food was outstanding! Yummmmmm….I begged our chef for her recipes and selfishly encouraged her to write a recipe book. I hope I’m not leaving anyone out, as everyone was so welcoming and caring and deserves a compliment.

I don’t believe I’ve ever left a vacation feeling so satisfied…and I know for sure that I’ve never left a place hugging the staff goodbye!

So, thank you for creating such a wonderful space. I know I’ll be referring eople to the Center for Massage & Natural Health for an experience they will never forget.
